The University of Chicago Chorus and Motet Choir, along with the Grand Prairie Singers, join the University Symphony Orchestra to present Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Symphony No. 1, "A Sea Symphony", an expansive, grandiloquent musical essay based on texts by Walt Whitman. Soloists Kimberly Jones, soprano, and Thomas Hall, baritone are featured; USO Music Director Barbara Schubert conducts. Also on the program: Benjamin Britten’s "Four Sea Interludes" from Peter Grimes.
